Commercial premises

The town of Monheim am Rhein offers companies many opportunities for development: at present, there are still almost 70,000 square meters of commercial building land available for purchase, where construction can start immediately. A further 95,000 square meters will be developed through various revitalization programs over the next few years, and project development companies have specific plans to create another roughly 30,000 square meters of office space by 2026. Investors can choose from a varied portfolio of business locations suitable for almost any scale and industry.

In recent years, a good 400,000 square meters of commercial space have been developed and mostly sold. The Rheinpark commercial estate was named a European model project by the Montag foundation „Urban Spaces“. The estate offers an extraordinary architectural quality and is a prestigious address for any business. A skillfully designed water axis connects the park with the Rhine bank, where the Monberg restaurant and event location invites guests to stay a while and enjoy its mixture of Caribbean flair and rustic beer garden atmosphere.

The Creative Campus Monheim in the southern part of town is currently undergoing redevelopment to further sharpen its focus on innovative health research, biotech and life science companies.

Start-ups

When it comes to starting up a business, the City of Monheim am Rhein works hand in hand with the district of Mettmann. There, the Startercenter NRW organizes seminars and consultations for business start-ups. It also provides valuable information and tips on support programs as well as on questions concerning career re-entry and reconciling family and working life. The advice is independent, cross-sectoral and, in most cases, free of charge.
